5 icons evaluation

first i did concept a sheet for each icon, i did about five to six diffrent concepts for each diffrent genre we did, although i'm not very good at drawing i did what was then some of my best work, i coloured them as well deciding on what colour i would use for each.
I did a final concept sheet with my final ideas where i copied my best drawings onto a final sheet with colour swatches and a description of why each colour was used for that icon and why i chose that icon and where my insipiration came from. By the time i finished the icons one of the ideas had changed from the final concept sheet, i think it turned out better.
I Think the actual making of my icons went rather smoothly, i used a graphic tablet to trace each icon from the scan of my final ideas, i seperated the colour and lines onto various layers in photoshop so i could apply diffrent layer affects to each layer. I am pretty pleased with how everything worked out, although i think the sci-fi one could be better.
